The species of tree known as the bronzewood tree was very difficult to cut.[1] In 19 BBY,[2] this characteristic led to the analogy that attempting a futile task was like trying to cut one of the non-sentient trees.[1]
Behind the scenes
Michael Reaves created the bronzewood tree for 2008's Coruscant Nights II: Street of Shadows, the second installment of the Star Wars: Coruscant Nights novel series.[1]
