Brinojja was a Hutt[1] who operated as a crime lord[2] during the time of the Galactic Civil War. The Hutt employed the Trandoshan Verkoss as the chief enforcer for Brinojja's crime operation and in[1] 4 ABY,[3] Brinojja sent Verkoss and a group of thugs to apprehend the Human information merchant Rat from a bar on the moon Nar Shaddaa. A group of Rebel Alliance agents assisted Rat in escaping from Brinojja's thugs and the information broker was subsequently grateful to the Rebels for saving him from the Hutt.[1]
Behind the scenes
Brinojja was first mentioned in Soulsaber, a 2001 RPGA roleplaying adventure by Lee Pickler and set within Star Wars Legends continuity that served as the second installment of the Child of Light saga.[1] The Hutt was subsequently referenced in the final adventure of the Child of Light saga, Light and Dark, in 2002.[2] Brinojja's gender is not confirmed in either source.[1][2]

- ↑ The roleplaying adventure Child of Light is set four months after the Battle of Hoth, an event dated by The Essential Atlas to the sixth month of the year 3 ABY. As the Atlas states that there are twelve months in the Galactic Standard Calendar, it can therefore be inferred that Child of Light takes place in the tenth month of 3 ABY. Soulsaber is set approximately four months after Child of Light and can thus be dated to the second month of 4 ABY.
