In the aftermath of the Clone Wars and Order 66[2] in 19 BBY,[3] a garrison of clone stormtroopers was established at the former Jedi space station Brighthome. However, the entire garrison was wiped out when the Sith Lord Darth Vader arrived at the station. Instead of simply transmitting his clearance codes, Vader elected to simply wipe out the soldiers.[1]

Description

The garrison of clones was stationed on Brighthome, a Jedi space station in the Mid-Rim, and was comprised of numerous clone stormtroopers and a small squadron of four Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighters. The garrison was under the command of a clone officer.

History

Attack on Brighthome

Sometime following the formation of the Galactic Empire and the initial aftermath of Order 66, a garrison of clone troopers, now serving as Imperial stormtroopers, was established on Brighthome, a Mid-Rim former Jedi outpost. The troopers were tasked with collecting any Jedi artifacts stored at the space station, and to prepare them to be shipped back to Coruscant. As troopers Ding and Kicker discussed how menial the mission was and their place as soldiers in the Empire, the two were reprimanded by their commanding officer and alerted to the presence of an approaching vessel.

On the vessel was newly-christened Sith Lord Darth Vader, who refused to respond to the warnings issued by the garrison's Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighter squadron. While Vader's personal droid insisted on transferring clearance codes to the clones, Vader decided to wipe out the garrison. After destroying the starfighters in a brief dogfight, Vader docked in the space station's hangar and engaged the stormtroopers stationed inside. Utilizing a Jedi Lightsaber and The Force, Vader annihilated the garrison before accessing Brighthome's databank for the locations of any living Jedi. Suddenly, Vader was ambushed by Ding and Kicker, who had survived the initial onslaught. After seizing the two troopers with The Force, Vader snapped their necks before fleeing the station with his personal droid as a thermal detonator went off, destroying a portion of the station.
