The Bright Nebula Fleet was a fleet in the naval forces of the Galactic Republic that participated in a battle on Lokori during the Clone Wars. Although most of the conflict took place beyond Lokori's moons, Separatist drop ship were able to penetrate Republic picket lines and release squadrons of Vulture droid starfighters in the atmosphere. Over the course of four local months, air raids continued and battle raged in near space. As Republic forces were bolstered by elements of the Bright Nebula Fleet, the Separatists matched the Republic ship for ship.[1]
Eventually, Separatist forces broke through Republic defenses at the same time Republic Supreme Chancellor Palpatine declared himself Galactic Emperor and proclaimed the Galactic Empire.[1]
