Bridgeworld Lost was a painting[2] created after 104 ABY[1] set during the Clone Wars[2] between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, which lasted from 22 BBY to 19 BBY.[3] It depicted a group of Skakoans[2]—a species associated with the Techno Union, a member organization of the Confederacy[4]—surrounded by blaster-wielding clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. The background of the painting contained bridge cities and three Munificent-class star frigates.[2]
Behind the scenes
Bridgeworld Lost appeared in "Celestia Galactica Photografica," a collection of in-universe illustrations by Ryan Church collected in Star Wars: Visionaries,[2] a graphic novel edited by Jeremy Barlow and released on April 2, 2005.[5] The concept of a "bridge world" was previously developed[6] by Church in 2002[7] during production of the prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith,[7] which premiered on May 19, 2005.[8] It was intended to be the planet Saleucami and to serve as the home of the Techno Union. The designs were instead used for the planet Cato Neimoidia in the finished film.[6] Church additionally created a concept art piece titled "Mygeeto Surrender" on December 6, 2002. The image featured clone troopers holding up Muun members of the InterGalactic Banking Clan on[9] the planet[10] Mygeeto.[9]

Notes and references
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 "Celestia Galactica Photografica" was included in Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: Legacy Vol. 4, which describes the stories it contains as taking place more than a century after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. That film took place in 4 ABY according to The Essential Atlas, meaning that all paintings in "Celestia Galactica Photografica," including Bridgeworld Lost, must have been created after 104 ABY.
