"Weizel is former Governor of Dakshee in the Colonies, where he came to the attention of the Imperial Court due to his handing of the Brella Temior crisis."
―A news report by Coruscant Daily Newsfeed[3]

The Brella Temior crisis was an incident that occurred during the Imperial Era. It shared its name with the Brella Temior system, a star system located in the Barma sector of the Colonies.[5]

The crisis

At some point between 19 BBY[2] and 1 ABY,[3] Gerald Weizel, the governor of Dakshee, the capital of the Barma sector,[6] handled the Brella Temior crisis.[3] Weizel's handling of the crisis brought the ambitious[1] governor to the attention of the Imperial Court.[3]

Governor Weizel's involvement the Brella Temior crisis, and also in the Dakshee affair, gave him a reputation of having a certain flair for handing problem worlds. This reputation eventually led him to be appointed as the new governor of Chandrila in 1 ABY.[3]
