Brecourl was a Corellian who served on the Corellian Council, the legislative body of his homeworld Corellia, centuries before the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. A hotheaded and impetuous man, Councilor Brecourl challenged Chairman Durand to a duel before the rest of the Council when he became enraged at Durand during a passionate debate about regulations on subsector zoning bypasses. However, Durand won the duel and killed Brecourl, who was remembered as the only individual ever to have been killed on the floor of the Legislature Building.[1]
