"Governor Bordanivaux is no patriot, and her decision to take Chadawa rogue was misguided at best. I have no love for the woman. But she gave us refuge when no one else would, and my people understand loyalty."
―Madrighast, to Soran Keize[1]

Bordanivaux was a female governor who served the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. Being in charge of the planet Chadawa, she split her government from the Empire[1] by 5 ABY. Around that year[2] Colonel Madrighast and his forces fled to Chadawa after taking many losses. Bordanivaux allowed the colonel's forces to take refuge at her planet. Months later, the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing, which served the Empire's loyalist forces, sought to destroy all civilization on Chadawa as punishment for the world going rogue. In the fighting that followed, the 204th was driven off after New Republic forces intervened and Madrighast and his Star Destroyer were lost, but the Chadawan government remained in place, although under the threat of invasion by the New Republic.[1]

Behind the scenes

Bordanivaux was mentioned in the 2021 novel Victory's Price: An Alphabet Squadron Novel, written by Alexander Freed.[1]

  2. The events of Victory's Price: An Alphabet Squadron Novel begin after the Cerberon system campaign, and the novel also features the Battle of Jakku at the end of its three main sections. Since Star Wars: Timelines dates both of those conflicts to 5 ABY, the main events of Victory's Price must therefore be set in that year. Victory's Price also establishes that Bordanivaux allowed Madrighast to take refuge at Chadawa months before the events of the novel, placing the former events around that year.
