Boots were a type of device used by the Galactic Empire in the early Imperial Era to lock down impounded starships. They incorporated magnetic clamps and included a socket which could be interfaced with by a scomp link. Despite the locks, boots could be removed through sufficient application of brute force. The Empire used them to secure seized spacecraft on Saleucami in the days after its establishment.[1]
