The blutfish was a type of fish.[1] Between 1 ABY and 3 ABY,[2] Rebel pilot Ibti Myrak was stationed on the MC80A Home One Type Heavy Star Cruiser, the Home One after her reckless actions during the attack in the Cilpar system. But Myrak wanted to return to the action and prepared to leave, ignoring her orders. Admiral Gial Ackbar told her that following orders was more important then going back to fight and ordered her to the command deck. But Myrak was angry and insulted Ackbar, calling him a blutfish before being pulled away by chief technician Garn Stewer.[1]

Behind the scenes

Blutfish was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the comic story, "Squad Goals, Part 2" in the twelfth issue of the 2020 Star Wars Adventures anthology comic series. The story was written by Cavan Scott[1] and published by IDW Publishing on November 24, 2021.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity blutfish was mentioned in the West End Games adventure for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Death in the Undercity published in 1990.[4]
