A blup sack was part of an ecorbs' anatomy. It was red-colored and pulsated rhythmically when the owner was happy.[1]

Behind the scenes

Blup sacks appeared in a story in Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas, a book published in 1993.[1] Lucasfilm employee Leland Chee, who maintains the Holocron continuity database, has indicated that information contained in the book is non-canonical.[2]

Blup sacks appear similar to real-world gular sacs featured in animals such as the Great Frigatebird.
