Bloch was a hermit who lived on the forest moon of Endor. In his old age, he encountered a mutant Wolf named Wilk. Wilk had somehow acquired sentience, and Bloch taught the wolf how to speak. With Bloch as his teacher, Wilk learned about the world around him. Wilk eventually left Endor to explore the wider galaxy.
