The Blind-band hypercomm transmitter was a type of hypercomm used for covert communication.
Exceptionally difficult to detect and even harder to trace, the blind-band hypercomm transmitter was used when stealth was paramount. Blind-band hypercomm transmitters were used extensively on the LightStealth-18 Reconnaissance Ship, a ship noted for its ability to hide itself even while actively scanning and transmitting.[1]
