Binz Scoty was a scavenger on the desert planet Jakku who died due to the world's heat.[2] By 34 ABY,[1] Scoty, Turgot Mynes, and Paos Adina were all included on a list of scavengers who had messed up and died due to heat written by another scavenger named Rey in a survival guide where[2] she[3] vowed to not meet the same fate.[2]

Binz Scoty was mentioned in the replica journal Rey's Survival Guide, which was written by Jason Fry and released in 2015.[2]
