The Binayre Pirate Bunker was a stronghold operated by the Binayre Pirates on the planet Talus during the Galactic Civil War.

History

The bunker was originally a camp used by law enforcement forces. By the time of the Battle of Yavin, it had become the base of operations of the Binayre Pirates,[3] a band of pirates and smugglers that operated within the Corellian sector.[2] Beyond this base on Talus, the pirates also had headquarters on Tralus, both in the Corellian system.[2] The Binayre Pirate turned the bunker into a stronghold.[1]

In 1 ABY,[4] a commoner in the city of Dearic provided the coordinates of the Binayre Pirate Bunker to a spacer brave enough to visit it.[3]

The same year, Jabba the Hutt's bounty hunter Bronell dispatched a spacer to the pirate bunker in order to retrieve information about a CorSec officer who owned money to Jabba, as well as to the pirates.[5]

Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
