Betolo was a male Human servant of the Dessain family. Though he wished to be member of the Dessain family, he was instead made a servant. Eventually, he wished to accomplish something of his own before his death and wanted to get off leave Zerist, a place he considered wretched. Betolo helped Volnos Ryo kidnap Oma Dessain, daughter of Eomin Dessain, and later also tried to poison Lanoree Brock. However, Lanoree Brock found out about his role in the kidnapping.[1]
