Beta system was a generic code used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War to designate star systems with a Galactic Empire presence. General Airen Cracken used the system as an example while briefing new Rebel agents.[1]
Behind the scenes
Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, indicated in June 2015 that the Beta system was excluded from The Essential Atlas Online Companion because it was an imaginary location used as an example.[2]
