Bensha Fault

The Bensha Fault was a major tectonic feature on the geologically-young and unstable Outer Rim Territories planet Dalna. One tip of the fault was located at the Maawat Juncture.[1] In 230 BBY,[2] the Nihil weapons expert Dr. Zadina Mkampa placed powerful explosives within the Bensha Fault in order to trigger a planet-wide catastrophe. Dalna was devastated by volcanic eruptions and seismic activity, but the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order were able to evacuate its population by towing the Starlight Beacon space station to the Dalnan system.[1]
