This article is about the sound-effects editor. You may be looking for his father, Ben Burtt.

Benjamin A. Burtt is a sound editor who has worked on the Disney+ series Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett.[2][3] He is the son of Ben Burtt, the Academy Award–winning sound editor of the 1977 film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and many other Star Wars projects.

The younger Burtt began his work while still in high school, sent off by his father to collect sound effects throughout Sydney, Australia for use in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. He later apprenticed under his father, digitizing old sound libraries, and went on to a full-time job as a sound-effects editor at Skywalker Sound,[1] working alongside individuals like J.R. Grubbs on The Mandalorian[2] and David W. Collins on The Book of Boba Fett.[3]
