- "They took my beautiful Shan'ri away. I want to hurt them like they hurt me.
What do you mean they took her away? Who is Shan'ri?
My daughter, my beautiful, wonderful daughter. They killed her. They used her up and they killed her as sure as if they put a blaster to her head and pulled the trigger." - ―Begol Toulin and a spacer
Begol Toulin was a male Bothan who lived in Mos Eisley, on Tatooine, during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Sometime following the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, Begol asked a spacer to enact revenge against a number of spice dealers for getting his daughter Shan'ri hooked on death sticks, thus resulting in her death.[1]
Behind the scenes
Begol Toulin appears in the directory tree files for the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[2] According to these files, introduced with the 2005 "New Game Enhancements," Begol would have been a quest giver, giving to players a quest named "Destroy the Spice" during the Mos Eisley part of the "Legacy Quest." However, Begol Toulin is not known to have appeared on the game's live servers as a proper non-player character. Nevertheless, an emulated depiction pulled from this character's Interchange File Format reveals what he would have looked like if he were added to the game. This character is also known as Begol Reigel in several game files.[1]
