Between 387 BBY and 382 BBY,[2] during the Eiram and E'ronoh War, a battle took place on the planet Eiram. A squad of E'roni soldiers were briefed that their assignment was to take a munitions plant, but in reality, the plant was a refugee shelter filled with refugees. Confronted with the reality of the assault, Bokana Koss turned and fled, while the rest of the squad kept firing. When Koss reached an E'roni commander, the commander told Koss to keep on fighting, calling him a deserter. When the commander pulled his blaster on Koss, Koss shot first and fled Eiram to join the Path of the Open Hand.[1]
