During the Clone Wars, a battle took place in the Bestine system.
The battle
In 22 BBY,[3] at the time of a mission to the third moon of Vassek, a fleet of the Republic Navy was stationed at Bestine,[4] a planet located within space controlled by the Confederacy of Independent Systems at the beginning of the Clone Wars.[1]
At some point during the conflict, a battle was fought in the Bestine system.[1]

The battle of the Bestine system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry. The battle was only illustrated on the Clone Wars map, which also referenced other elements from Star Wars: The Clone Wars.[1]
The planet Bestine was mentioned in Lair of Grievous, the tenth episode of the first season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which aired on December 12, 2008.[4]
