During the Clone Wars, a battle was fought over the planet Wayland between the Galactic Republic and the CIS. One Jedi was killed in the battle when its starfighter was shot down.
Behind the scenes
This battle is only mentioned in the opening pages of the Clone Wars novel Yoda: Dark Rendezvous, during a reminiscence by Master Jai Maruk. The Jedi, the ship they piloted, and the general details of the battle are not elaborated upon further.
