The Imperial conquest of the planet Kaikielius was the first battle of the Coruscant-bound arm of the pre-Shadow Hand Imperial offensive in 10 ABY. The battle, which was followed by attacks on Metellos and Alsakan,[2] convinced the New Republic that an Imperial attack on Coruscant was imminent.[3]
