- "I have met these reclusive cretins and listened to their singsong prophecies. They do possess the gift of futuresight, which proved useful to my forces at the Battle of Dromund Kaas."
- ―Asajj Ventress, on the Prophets of the Dark Side in her annotation to Wild Power
The Battle of Dromund Kaas occurred on[3] the Outer Rim[4] planet Dromund Kaas,[3] once the capital of the Sith Empire,[5] during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems,[1] which lasted between 22 BBY and 19 BBY.[2] The 327th Star Corps of the Grand Army of the Republic participated in the battle,[1] as did forces led by the Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress.[3] During the battle, Ventress used the precognitive abilities of the Prophets of the Dark Side to her forces' benefit. She later mentioned her experience in an annotation made in Wild Power, a manifesto written by Mother Talzin.[3]
Behind the scenes
A Clone Wars conflict on Dromund Kaas was first mentioned in "Guide to the Grand Army of the Republic," an article written by Karen Traviss and Ryan Kaufman and published in the eighty-fourth issue of the magazine Star Wars Insider[1] on September 26, 2005.[6] It was first identified as the Battle of Dromund Kaas in Book of Sith: Secrets from the Dark Side, an in-universe reference book written by Daniel Wallace and published in 2012.[3]
