At some point during the Imperial Period, a naval battle occurred between the Zygerrian slavers and a fleet commanded by Imperial Captain Ralchio Nervi. The Zygerrians were soundly defeated, losing their Prince Hordem Molec, the elder son of the Zygerrian King Atai Molec. The King blamed his second son, Sono Molec, who had survived the battle, for provoking the conflict with the Imperials. Distraught at the loss of Hordem, the King exiled Sono to the Zygerrian outpost on the planet Kowak.^[1]
