Bastons were a type of melee weapon similar to a truncheon. They were similar in size and shape to swords or lightsabers, and could be wielded in a similar fashion. When her starship was captured in a tractor beam by the ship of pilots Chardri Tage and Tamsin early in the Imperial Era, former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano armed herself with two bastons from her ship's weapons box, using them to ambush and knockout Tage and Tamsin before they had time to react.[1]
