Behind the scenes

Pattern Tool first appeared in the downloadable content Minecraft Star Wars: Path of the Jedi within the video game Minecraft,[1] which was developed by Spark Universe and published by Mojang Studios on November 7, 2023, to the game's community marketplace.[3] In the game, the airbrush functioned as a way for players to select their astromech droid's plate pattern.[1] A technical identification was given for the device as "Baobab EH8 Industrial Airbrush" through concept art by Gonzalo Bringas, though the capitalization is unclear.[2]
