- ―The Banshee of Bestine before engaging Black Squadron
The Banshee of Bestine was a First Order ace pilot who was active during the New Republic Era.[4]
Biography
The Banshee of Bestine was a notorious ace pilot with at least 26 confirmed kills. He patrolled Hutt Space and engaged Black Squadron over the planet Nar Kaaga during their mission to destroy a code-breaking device located on the surface.[4]
During the dogfight, the Banshee destroyed two Resistance X-wings and damaged Black Leader Poe Dameron's X-wing. The Banshee followed Dameron into Nar Kaaga's atmosphere in order to ensure his death, but abandoned his pursuit once Dameron jettisoned most of his fuel to fake a crash landing.[4]
Personality and traits
According to Resistance Admiral Ushos O. Statura, the Banshee of Bestine was a dangerous and deadly pilot, a sentiment echoed by the members of Black Squadron during their dogfight over Nar Kaaga. The Banshee was a confident pilot, but was disappointed that none of the members of Black Squadron could match their skill.[4]
Equipment
The Banshee of Bestine flew a black TIE Interceptor. Their armor was white rather than the black armor typically worn by First Order TIE fighter pilots and had red accents, including red tally marks on the helmet.[4]
