Balinta^[2] was an Eriadu veermok befriended by Sevran Tarkin, a member of the Tarkin family of Eriadu during the High Republic Era. Tarkin initially set out to hunt one of the creatures to restore her name, though instead realized she could make an ally of the veermok by showing her own vulnerability. After being reinstated and taking leadership over the family,^[1] Tarkin was rarely apart from Balinta, who would follow her wherever she went. When attempting to learn the meaning behind Tarkin's secretive disappearances, Jedi Knight Qort and Tarkin family member Emelsine Tarkin used Balinta to locate Tarkin.^[2]
