A Chiss aide served Supreme General Ba'kif of the Chiss Ascendancy's Expansionary Defense Fleet,[1] in 19 BBY.[2] Under Ba'kif's orders, he located Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," on the planet Naporar and informed the supreme general that Thrawn would be available to serve at Ba'kif's convenience. When preparing for the journey to Naporar, the aide asked Ba'kif if the trip was to be officially logged or if it would constitute as a private trip, to which the supreme general affirmed the former.[1]

Behind the scenes

Ba'kif's aide appeared in the 2020 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the first installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.[1]
