The BKX-4 "Shockwave" Grenade, known simply as the BKX-4, was a model of grenade manufactured by Baktoid Personal Ordnance, a subsidiary of Baktoid Armor Workshop. Rather than causing damage with shrapnel, the BKX-4 caused damage with over-pressure and shockwaves, which could disorient or knock down opponents. Its detonation caused a broad blast that was strong enough to kill multiple unarmored targets, and also damage structures, machinery, and material. They were popular among combat engineers who used them to clear bunkers and cause large amounts of chaos.[1]

The BKX-4 "Shockwave" Grenade was first mentioned in Fully Operational,[1] a 2018 sourcebook for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game published by Fantasy Flight Games.[2]
