An autopsy was a procedure performed on the dead to determine the cause of death. In 232 BBY, the Jedi discovered the wreckage of a Hutt starship attacked by the Nihil in the Kazlin system. A group of Jedi were dispatched to investigate, where they discovered the corpse of a Hutt. After a brief examination the body was brought to the Starlight Beacon for an autopsy.[2][3] After a settlement on the planet Banchii was attacked by the Drengir, several civilians were turned to wood. Doctor Silar performed an autopsy on the victims and found unusual spores, but was unable to determine if they were for consumption or reproduction.[1]
