Autopilot droid brains were a more advanced and specialized upgrade compared to standard autopilot systems. They became popular among smugglers and others, as they allowed vehicles or ships to be piloted competently. Additionally, users could communicate with the autopilot droid brain remotely using a beckon call, enabling them to summon the vehicle or ship from several hundred kilometers away.[1]

Behind the scenes

The autopilot droid brain was first mentioned in Fly Casual, a 2015 roleplaying game sourcebook by Fantasy Flight Games.[1]
