Aurek Team ( Team) and Bacta Team were military units tasked by Mace Windu with locating Darth Sidious on Coruscant. Windu put together what he considered a dream team that consisted of ARC commander Valiant, Captain Dyne of Republic Intelligence, Jedi Master Shaak Ti, several capable Padawans, and several clone commandos. The commandos reported directly to Valiant. At one point, Mace split up these teams with him taking Aurek, Dyne, and Valiant, and High Jedi General Shaak Ti taking Bacta. The search was focused in Sector 943, also known as "the Works". Aurek Team, minus Windu, did manage to eventually uncover the identity of Darth Sidious, but they were immediately killed by him. Never learning the truth of Darth Sidious' identity, the Jedi assumed that Aurek team had been killed during the Battle of Coruscant.[1]
