- "This is Captain Baylo of the Diplomatic Fleet corvette Assurance. Your installation is suspected of pirate activity. Under the authority of the Judicial Forces, I'm authorized to instruct you to stop firing and surrender!"
"Hello, Pell Baylo. Under my own authority, I'm authorized to tell you to go eat a brick!" - ―Pell Baylo and Zilastra
During the Republic Era, Galactic Republic and Jedi Order forces attacked the headquarters of the Riftwalkers pirate gang on the planet Valboraan. Zilastra, the leader of the Riftwalkers, had previously captured Jedi Master Depa Billaba, but the young girl Kylah Lohmata sent out a call for help that was picked up by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi. The pair subsequently summoned Jedi Master Mace Windu aboard the Republic Diplomatic Fleet corvette Assurance, commanded by Captain Pell Baylo. Assurance fired upon the headquarters, causing significant damage, while the Jedi landed to rescue Billaba. Although the intervention saved Billaba, Zilastra threatened Lohmata's life, forcing the Jedi to allow her and the Riftwalkers to escape aboard her flagship, the Randomizer.[1]
