An atmospheric accelerator a device made by Selo Rovak to allow the Galactic Empire harvest the winds on the moon Toshara. The Imperial wind harvester built on the moon required the accelerator to function.[1]
By 3 ABY,[2] Rovak was shunned by her people in Kadùa Village for working with the Empire. As a result, she relocated to a shop in the Mirage region of the moon.[1] Later in 3 ABY,[2] Rovak was approached by the off-worlder Kay Vess who was hoping she would upgrade a S57 Cardinal speeder bike. After telling Vess that the atmospheric accelerator would really upgrade her bike's speed, she gave Vess two magentic distrupters to help her break into the wind harvester and steal the atmospheric accelerator. Vess later used the distrupters on the facilities outer turbine and made her way through the facility to the accelerator. After she took the accelerator, the facility shut down. When Vess returned to Rovak, she installed the accelerator into Vess's bike, giving the bike the ability to boost.[1]
Behind the scenes
An atmospheric accelerator first appeared as an quest item in the quest "The Mechanic" in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws which was developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.[1]
