Athul Taran was a male Gormak who lived on Dalna[1] in 382 BBY.[2] He argued with Path of the Open Hand member Xander Cran near the Ferdan landing strips. When Jedi Oliviah Zeveron and Matthea Cathley interceded, Taran informed them that the Path had been buying up land and buildings in Ferdan, accusing them of trying to force Dalnans out of their homes. He considered the Path responsible for the riots on Jedha, calling Cran "brikal-head." Taran demanded to see what was in the crates the Path was offloading, and after some persuading by Cathley, verified that they contained Starbeam legumes and other food supplies. Although Cran stated that the food was to feed everyone on Dalna during the inevitable food shortages caused by the early rains, Taran said he would not be eating their "muck" before walking away.[1]
