The Assembly Cupola[2] was a structure within Csaplar, the capital city of the Chiss Ascendancy homeworld Csilla. The Syndics of the Chiss Syndicure and Aristocra of the Chiss Nine Ruling Families met annually in the Cupola for important government meetings. Around 19 BBY,[3] the Syndics were in attendance of one such meeting, during which time Csilla was attacked by unknown assailants.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Cupola first appeared in Timothy Zahn's 2020 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the first book in Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.[1] It was first identified as the Assembly Cupola in Chaos Rising's 2021 sequel, Thrawn Ascendancy: Greater Good.[2]
