Asala Suro was an Umbaran archivist married to the female Umbaran Cosa Simo. While Suro was helping her wife trace her ancestry, Simo discovered a familial line dating back over three millennia before[1] 132 BBY. In that year,[2] Suro and Simo visited Olega City on the planet Olega, to which Simo traced the line, hoping that Simo would be permitted to view ancient records stored in the Jedi Order's local temple.[1] Shortly after the murder of the temple's Jedi Master Torbin, Simo and Suro were standing near the wall of a building in one of Olega City's streets.[3] Suro had brown eyes and light-sensitive white skin and, during her visit of Olega City, she wore a travel shadowcloak and bundled clothing that protected her skin.[1]
Behind the scenes
Asala Suro first appeared, albeit unidentified, in "Revenge / Justice,"[3] the second episode of the live-action Disney+ series The Acolyte, which aired on June 4, 2024.[4] The individual was later identified as Asala Suro in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] The Olega scenes[5] that featured Suro[3] were shot at Shinfield Studios,[5] England.[6]
