Arko Santis was the father of Brom Santis. Arko wanted a voice in how the Dessain Mining was run by the Dessain family, but the Dessains were loath to cede control to anyone who was not family. Consequently Arko's oldest son Brom Santis was to marry the daughter of Eomin Dessain, Oma Dessain.[1]
