The Arena Citadel was part of the Mos Espa Grand Arena on Tatooine. It hosted betting floors with giant screens which were used to follow races. These live channels were Hutt-owned[2] and the gambling was controlled by Jabba the Hutt. Fans were pushed by armed Hutt-controlled managers to visit the various concessions concourses. There, they could place bets, purchase souvenirs, visit exhibits, and test-drive scaled-down podracers. Many would-be podrace pilots get their first taste for the sport in the citadel and often smashed up stalls and exhibits in the process. In the lower levels there were holding cells for debtors. The Grand Stairway was a popular place for spotting famous podrace pilots and also let to private deal-making rooms.[1]
