Ardu Vel was a Duros male seismologist present on Ossus during the invasion of the planet in the opening stages of the third Galactic War. He was trying to get a grip on the plague of Darth Malora's mutant Geonosians. Despite his efforts, more Mutants were attacking the colonists. Ardu Vel shared with another colonist that he detected a seismic activity in a previously sealed Geonosian hive. He deemed it necessary to investigate the hive in the canyons of Ossus and defeat the remaining Geonosians within.[1]
