The Arbran lava snail was native to Arbra,[1] a forested planet in the Outer Rim Territories.[2] The snail lived atop Arbra's volcanoes. Arbran lava snails were potentially lethal when used as food and were consequentially banned by the time of the ongoing struggle between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire.[1]
Nevertheless, in 3638 BBY,[3] an underworld restaurant that specialized in serving forbidden entrees wished to add the Arbran lava snail to its menu, and subsequently an individual affiliated with one of the sides in the ongoing conflict sent a companion to hunt down some of the creatures on Arbra.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Arbran lava snail was introduced in Rise of the Hutt Cartel, a 2013 expansion for the 2011 BioWare video game, Star Wars: The Old Republic.[1]
