- "All right, Wookiee…fun is fun, but I'm going to finish this. And you."
- ―Aragu Kato, to Chewbacca
Aragu Kato was a Chagrian criminal who lived during the reign of the Galactic Empire.[1] Between around 8 BBY and 2 BBY,[2] Kato was imprisoned at a prison on the prison planet Gulhadar. After the Wookiee Chewbacca was also imprisoned in the prison, the two got into a fight after Kato claimed that Chewbacca looked at them funny. During their fight, Kato impaled the Wookiee with their lethorns, to which Chewbacca responded by punching the Chagrian in the face. In response, Kato declared their intent to finish both the fight and Chewbacca, and drew a knife. Kato was then approached by another prison, Phaedra, who attempted to use a mind trick to get Kato to drop the knife and return to their cell. Kato saw through the fake attempt and called Phaedra out for not being a Jedi, which she admitted, but added that she had heard their tricks worked on the weak minded, and that she thought Kato would qualify as. Phaedra then revealed that she had only intended to distract Kato, and when Kato asked from what, Chewbacca appeared and punched Kato again, ending the fight.[1]
