Ank Kit'aar was a celestial body[1] located in the Ank Kit'aar system,[2] a part of the Druess sector[1] in the Trailing Sectors portion of[2] the Mid Rim. Not long after the Battle of Yavin, Ank Kit'aar was noted in Rebel Alliance general Airen Cracken's datafile detailing various Rebel operatives as the last known location of Major Kerri Lessev, an agent of the Destabilization branch of the Galactic Empire's Intelligence service tasked with preventing high-ranking Imperial personnel from posing a threat to the reign of Galactic Emperor Palpatine. Lessev was also secretly an ally of the Alliance seeking to weaken the Empire by causing the elimination of some of the most competent and capable Imperial figures.[1]
Behind the scenes
Ank Kit'aar was created by David R. Tulo, Jr. and was introduced in Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a 1994 West End Games sourcebook published for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Ank Kit'aar system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square O-15.[2]
