Biography

Born in 1971 in London, England, Andy Diggle became a regular reader of the comic magazine 2000 AD, which he would eventually come to edit, at a young age. This was a turning point for him as he became an avid reader of American comics shortly after. Diggle later graduated from De Montfort University with a degree in Media Studies, but eventually returned there to teach part-time modules on his career focus, comics. After his graduation, he briefly worked at University College London's Department of Town Planning as an administrator before beginning his later career in comics. He won the Eagle Award for "Favorite Editor" in 2001, as well in 2003 after the release of his popular series The Losers. During his present career as a full time comic writer, he was considered successful and signed multiple contracts with various companies such as DC Comics, Image, and Marvel.
