Ancient Trench

According to the Kaminoan legend "The Tale of the Aiwha Pod," the Ancient Trench was an underwater trench located on the[1] planet[2] Kamino and was the site of a battle between the monster-god Protas and the sentient kikla. The kikla had assembled an army, and they challenged Protas for rule of the planet's oceans. Protas accepted the challenge, and after a month of fighting, he defeated the challengers.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Ancient Trench appeared in the 2005 Legends short story "The Tale of the Aiwha Pod," which was written by Ryan Kaufman and published in the Star Wars: Republic Commando: Prima Official Game Guide.[1]
