Anchoring rods were components used on sensor beacons such as Fabritech's SE-Vigilant automated sensor beacon. The anchoring rods were usually retracted into the body of the unit, and were deployed to affix the device into the ground. The rods were capable of boring into the ground to a depth of fifty centimeters. Sensor beacons could also be secured to the ground using magnetic disks.[1]
