- "I reckon that's the real reason we were trained to ambidextrous. To allow for those or'diniise in Procurement."
- ―Clone commando "Atin"
Ambidexterity is the state of being equally adept in the use of both left and right appendages in humanoid species. The clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic were trained to be able to wield their issued blasters ambidextrously.[1] All members of the Yevetha species were ambidextrous, and Ruurians were identically proficient with their two largest appendages.[2]
Ambidexterity could also be applied by droids, such as C-3PO.[3] The Morgukai had been known to be ambidextrous; one such member was Ma'kis'shaalas, who defected to the Jedi.[4]
This quality was present in species with more than two hands, such as the Codru-Ji, Morseerians, Noehons, Troig and Xexto. In those cases, it was referred to as multidexterity.[2]
